Does this sound like a prolapsed vaginaI am a 38 yr old women with 2 children. I had a hysterecotomy with cervix removed 4 months after my son was delivered via c-section 3 1/2 year ago. Anyways, I felt something there and when I looked I saw a mass. There is still an opening with it just looks swollen everywhere. I am going to the dr on Monday. Do kegels help? Always have a problem voiding all my urine and I am constipated alot. I am scared. My husband is deployed and my 45lb four year old still loves for me to hold him. Does this make it worse? Does a hernia happen in the vaginal cavity?
Re: Does this sound like a prolapsed vaginaWent to the dr and I do have a mild prolapse of bladder. Very mild no surgery necessary. Thank goodness. We will just watch to make sure it doesn't get bigger.
Re: Does this sound like a prolapsed vaginaI can relate. My physical therapist thinks I have a prolapse and wants me to get a pessary. I have trouble with voiding and constipation. If I push to empty my bladder it hurts a lot afterwards. I was told not to do kegels yet. I was told I have to learn to relax/stretch the pelvic floor before I can strengthen it. Hope this helps. Feel better soon.
Re: Does this sound like a prolapsed vaginaIt sounds like you see the bulge i saw, but it was my rectum coming toward my vagina, i knew something didn't look right, and this went on for months, finally i told the doctor something was wrong, evidently he couldn't tell from just the yearly checkup, and i also had an infection that was causing me to go to the bathroom a lot, after i took medicine, its not so bad now, but when i cough i feel pressure down toward that area. Good luck, and hope you feel better when you get your answers. carrieo
