I suffer from recurrent bladder infections. I am 29 and started getting them more frequently when I became sexually active at 17, so I’ve been dealing with this a long time.
Pee after sex. Even if you don’t feel like you have to and even if you don’t want to. Every time. This will flush the bacteria out that have been pushed inside the urethra through friction.
Drink a juice that is at least 27% cranberry juice or take cranberry pills every day.

I have the same problem. I get one almost every month and I'm on daily antibiotics. My kidneys are healthy, so my urologist needs to look inside my bladder to see what is wrong with me. I have done everything that prevents UTI, like the peeing before and after intercourse, daily cup of cranberry juice, taking a shower before and after too, etc. and nothing seems to be working. I can't stand being scared every time I use the restroom. Do I feel a slight pain? Is it the onset of a UTI? It's affecting my life.

I also have the same problem. I got my first uti when i was in high school and it only got worse once i became sexually active in college. I have been married for over 3 years and I am still getting uti's especially after sex. Lately I get a uti everytime I have sex. I do all the things they say your supposed to do...drink a lot of water, cranberry, take showers before and after sex, pee after sex, everything. Its just frustrating that uti's control my life. I cant go to work without bringing uristat and antibiotics just in case...which I have been so happy to have a few times. And it definitely affects my sex life with my husband. I dont want to have sex if I know its going to make me sick tomorrow. Its just frustrating. Has anyone found anything that actually works?
