Scrotal Itching

Age : 20
Sex : Male
Sexual activity : Same girl 3 years

Problem :
So about 9 months ago I started itching in my scrotum, it seemed to only really irritate me when it was cold outside or when I was active. So I thought nothing of it for 1 month, finally i figured maybe it was just my hairs itching when I was moving so I "correctly shaved", well this only made it itch more and didst solve any problems "never agian will i shave". So I went to a dermatologist, he looked and did some test's and told me no skin problems and he sent me to a urologist. So I went to the urologist and he told me that I had Varicocele and that possibly could be causing the problem and even if that isnt the problem I should still have this fixed because this can cause infertility. So I agreed and got the surgery, it's been about 4 months now and I still continue to itch in my scrotal area. I have been back to the urologist and had another ultrasound and he says that everything looks good and that there is no fluid or anything. And that possibly its just a blood flow issue and that it just takes along while to regulate itself. And he told me that in 2 more months he wants to see me again for a prostate exam, but personally I don't think that is the issue.

Thing's I notice :
It seems the worst when I'm cold, when im sitting at home and its warm i feel good. Some things I notice about my scrotum that is different than before is that : It becomes very red, almost as if its inflamed. Also it becomes very contracted very easy, usually what helps the most for me is a Warm shower, this usually gives me some comfort for some time.

Question :
What should I do ?
Is the urologist correct that there is nothing I can do but wait ?
What medication's should I get ?

Thanks for taking the time to read my plee for help, and I hope that someone knows the fix to this situation.
