Trigger Point Injections gone wrong

Post a new topicby Roadie on Thu Aug 28, 2008 11:17 am

After suffering from terrible headaches for several weeks, my doctor decided to perform trigger point injections in my neck & upper back areas. Several hours later, I was unable to breathe & was having chest pains. Thinking I was having a heart attack my husband took me to the ER. They did a chest x-ray & discovered my lung had collapsed. Evidently, the injection had punctured my lung. I was in the hospital for a week with 3 chest tubes. I just wanted to warn everyone about what can happen during these injections. Please think twice before getting it done. By the way, the injections didn't help my headache. After a few massage sessions & chiropractic treatments, my headache is finally under control.
