ketamine infusionHas anyone out there had or heard of " ketamine infusion" as a treatment of pain for RSD patients? Any help or information would be greatly appreciated. My doctor would like to try this but we are in a battle with my insurance company because it is considered "experimental".
Re: ketamine infusionthere are coma induced ketamine, ketamine dripped and infusion, oral ketamine, and now a salve with ketamine and other drugs. hope this is helpful
Re: ketamine infusionThank you for the information. After being turned down by insurance and reading more about the ketamine I have decided to have a spinal cord stimulator. Thanks again!
spinal cord stimulatorHave you exhausted every possible alternative before going this route???
Re: ketamine infusionYes. I have had RSD for 35 years. This last bout was for a slipped disc in my back that made everything go crazy again. I tried pt, acunpuncture, nerve blocks, radio frequency nerve ablation. I've gone to many specialists and the last 3 have all said the same thing. So I already have an appointment with my neurosurgeon to discuss it. Thank you so much for your help and thoughts.
Re: ketamine infusionhave you considered cold laser therapy and fenzian treatments? I, too, have been "blessed with this most of my life and found the above to be very helpful as well as the meilus muscular treatment. Worth a shot!
Re: ketamine infusionI have never heard of either. Could you provide me with some more information? Thanks.
Re: ketamine infusionfor sure - you can see my article written in the 2007 winter issue of the RSDSA newsletter - look for cold laser therapy and fenzian - should you be unable to download that - give me a shout and I can forward to your email.
Re: ketamine infusionforgot my login - what a bummer - I'll be under Layla until I get it straightened out - were you successful in viewing the article or do you wish me to send it to the email you supplied??
Re: ketamine infusionYes, I finally found it. Thanks! It was very helpful and interesting. I'll let you know how my appointment with my neurosurgeon on September 26th.
