Last August I had three stents placed in my heart, within a week they collapsed. On September 11 I had open heart surgury. They did two bypasses a valve repair and a maize procedure. I had to return to the hospital 3 times because of complications. In January I was admitted again, they did a heart cath and found out that the bypass artery that was harvested from my leg got a ‘kink’ in it and had to have a stent placed in it because the blood flow was 90% blocked.

I am finally over my pericarditis. It took 8 months. There were good and bad days and times that I thought I was recovering nicely--only to be nailed by a relapse. So, it takes a long time. But it goes away.
I took colchesine and aspirin. You might ask your doctor about those meds. Once I tapered off the colchesine--I remained on aspirin for about 3 more months.
I have not had any symptoms at all in about 6 weeks. So, I think it is gone.
