Can you help me out

Post a new topicby CourtneyHanna on Fri Jan 23, 2009 10:54 pm

Well i went to the doctor today and they think i have PID. I am having HORRIBLE stomach pains and so they put me on medication. But i have looked around and i see that PID can be caused by Chlamydia or Gonorrhea But i have had UTI's in the past and i was wondering if any bacteria from that could have caused this? Can some one help me out and let me know??? PLEASE..

Hey, I wish I could help you, but unfortunately I have the same question. I was hospitalized last october with kidney problems that my doctor said was a UTI that I didn't show any symptoms of until it was too late. 6 months later I was in the hospital with septic shock & PID... ICU, laparotomy... not fun. I have a deep down feeling that these two instances are related but I just don't know how. I posted a topic with my whole story if you're interested.

Again, I wish I could help & good luck!

I have had the same problems also. I was hospitalized about a year ago with kidney infections and have had them since and I was recently diagnosed with PID. I was wondering if it was linked to the kidney problems I was having but my doctor told me nothing. I have severe pain and I am on my last pill and still it hasn't gone away. I was wondering if it ever does, or if it should have gone by now. I am so confused by all this.
