Patients should:

take all medicine as prescribed, even if the symptoms go away;
return for a follow-up visit 2 or 3 days after treatment is started to make sure that the antibiotics are working; and...Read the full article

hi sweety, dont worry, just go back to the doc as soon as you can, you may need a 3rd antibiotic. once your better and fully recovered ask doc for a laparoscopy to check your tubes and put your mind at rest, good luck. go back to doctor now and let us know how yoy got on. x

Hi
I have just been diagnosed with PID and have always had a swollen belly but there are alot of other symptoms which come with it. Look it up on the internet and have a read. If you have some more of the symptons apart from swollen belly then please get checked out as it has took me years just to find out due to having a laparoscopy and now its too late to be treated with antibiotics i will have to have another operation and maybe then i'll still not be ok
Good luck
