What Helps for Me

Post a new topicby pauls on Mon Jul 28, 2008 11:58 am

I have found several approaches that help:
1. For the burning, tingling sensation I use "SPORTSCREME" (trolamine salicylcate - 10%) and the
sensations disappear completely for considerable periods of time
2. I take 400-800 mg of ALPHA LIPOIC ACID per day. This provides significant reduction in symptoms.
I have read that this is so valued it is categorized as a pharmaceutical in Germany. I also have read that ALPHA LIPOIC ACID actually promotes healing of the nerves damaged by neuropathy
3. I suggest using the ANTI-INFLAMMATORY DIET outlined by Andrew Weil, M.D. in his book "Healthy
Aging" and on the website, drweil.com

I welcome comments on what else is considered effective to treat neuropathy
