Should I get tested for Neuropathy?I'm 26 years young and since my daughter was born, 3 years ago, I've had problems with numbness in my feet and hands. Since my son was born, 8 months ago, I have had severe leg cramps (like the kind you get when you've exercised too much) they tend to get worse at night. I'm also have been dropping things allot and have been having allot of back pain lately. Oh, yeah I also have been having trouble with bladder control and occasional numbness in my crotch (forgive my crude wording I couldn't think of a polite way to say it). It's not horrible pain in any way just uncomfortable, but from what I've been reading it's better to catch this early. Does this sound like Neuropathy? Should I get tested for this? Or am I just being paranoid?
Thanks Oh and another question is there any way this could be linked to my having had an epidural during delivery?
Re: Should I get tested for Neuropathy?I would get blood work up and have a neurologist look at you. I was iron and b-12 deficiet and caused a lot of nerve damage. Once the iron came back up, the muslce spasms got a bit better, and I inject b-12 twice a month. I just don't absorb it. Because you just had a baby, the bladder thing could be from the delivery, the bladder may have dropped. Or like you said nerve problems, but why guess go see a neurologist. A lot of things happen to your body after a baby. It just went thru a war. Get checked out, the baby needs you healthy...they like to run alot and you need to able to catch up!!
No sleepy Moms with the dropsy's. Can't play ball like that.
