lumbar neuropathy

Post a new topicby marshians on Mon Mar 24, 2008 4:45 pm

My mother was diagnosed with lumbar neuropathy I actually had the exact same symptoms since November of 07 before my mother and never said anything to her. There is pain starting at the outside part of my hip and radiates down my leg. It is painful to lift my leg at times such as getting in the car. It started out hurting the most when I got in bed. The only position that does not hurt is when i am on my back with my leg straight. If I get into another position my thigh begins to burn until I move it out of that position.

The doctor told her it would last between 4-6 months on average and she is taking lycra that has helped her tremendously.

Is there anyone else that has this and how are you being treated?
