I am a 48 year old woman who up until four years ago was very active. In 2005 I was diagnosed with Severe Rhuemtoid Arthritis. I began with a regimen of 12 medications including injections and infusions. On November 20, 2009 I walked in our annual Christmas parade. My feet had been tingling for a couple days prior, did not think anything of it. Two days later I could not walk because it hurt so bad. My coordination and balance are all off. Hi, just want you to know I understand how you feel. I have had numbness, tingling, feelings of wearing socks or stockings when I'm not, stiff, stiff, stiff legs , especially when I get out of bed in the morning for about 5 years now. Takes a few hours to get moving; I am off balance at times. My feet and ankles hurt.I was recently diagnosed with neurapathy with no explanation for why I have it. I have done some research and have found that poligrip and fixodent denture cream can cause this if used for a long period of time. It can give you symptoms like MS such as I have. What this product does is puts too much zinc (causing zinc poisoning) into your bloodstream AND depletes your copper level; thus causing these symptoms. It seems neurapathy affects people in different ways to different degrees. I am going today to get Secure, an all natural denture cream and try to find some copper supplements. I refuse to give into these symptoms I have. I've heard that walking is the best thing for it. IF poligrip HAS caused this with me, the damage may be irreversable, but I will continue to fight it. I don't know if you use a denture cream but whether you do or not, please heed this warning and tell your friends and family. Let's get the word out on this. Please be in touch and let me know how things are going with you.
I am a 55 year old female. Best of luck to you and don't give up!
