time between attacks of ms

Post a new topicby cococali on Sun Jul 06, 2008 12:56 pm

Hi I wonder if anyone can give some advice, I am currently waiting to see a neurologist, symptoms have been pins and needles, numbness and weakness down left side, intermittent stabbing pains, burning sensation in left foot, numbness on face, lips and tongue and sometimes I come out with the wrong word when I'm speaking, clumsiness and extreme fatigue I have had this for the past 3 weeks. I had a similar episode about 18years ago, which subsequently cleared up completely, had a lumbar puncture back then which was clear and they put it down to a migraine of the body caused by the contraceptive pill, which I was not allowed to take after that. Is it possible that 18 years could have passed between attacks as I think my doctor is suspecting MS they thought that's what I had previously, hence the lumbar puncture. Any input would be most appreciated.

Thanks
