Stent removed but still in pain

Post a new topicby sam i am on Tue Jul 08, 2008 11:41 am

Hi all! Newbe here. At the beginning of June, I discovered (well the ER doctor discovered) that I had a 5mm stone. Had the laser surgery to break up the stone and had a stent put in. A week later, had the stent removed, which was NOT FUN AT ALL! I am still in a bit of pain but the pain isn't in my back where the stent was, it's really when I go to the bathroom (sorry for the details) If anyone out there has had any pain weeks after the stent was removed, please let me know if this is normal. Thanks!!

No not normal. Call your doctor. If you have a fever, stronger pain, blood in urine or other symptoms go to ER immediately.

I did go see my doctor and he told me that it was normal to be in a little bit of pain. I do not have a fever and there is no blood in my urine. The pain is when I urinate and sometimes when I am just sitting down or walking. It's nothing like the pain that I was in when I had the stone. Thanks for the help!!!
