Abdominal X Rays for stones & miscarriage

Post a new topicby lcss on Mon May 12, 2008 9:58 pm

I have had stones for several years, but have had aggressive treatment in the past 5 years. I have just had my second miscarriage in a year and saw that there was a study done in which 50% of the women with triploidy miscarriages had recurrent radiation to the abdomen. Has anyone heard of a correlation between x rays and (triploidy) miscarriages?

Would it be possible to have a conversation outside of this forum? I am a medical writer at the Los Angeles Times working on a story related to this issue. You can contact me at [moderator note: contact information has been removed]. I'm interested in the details of your experience, and I would be happy to share what I've learned so far.

Can you keep me posted on your findings. I just had my second CT Scan in a year (with a pregnancy inbetween the 2) and want to have more children but I am fearing the effects of the treatments and testing on my ability to do so.
Thanks!

I'd be happy to. It would be best if you contact the science section and let me know how to reach you. [moderator note: website address has been removed]
