Interstitial Cystitis

I am new to this forum. I suffer from interstitial cystitis and am currently using the Oxytrol patch.
I am spending a month at the beach this summer am looking for anyone who can tell me if salt water will interact with the patch. I live in Ohio and my Dr. said he doesn't know as we don't live anywhere near the beach he hasn't had this question. The manufacturer wasn't much help either. I'm hoping someone out there uses the patch and has been in salt water and can help me. I would appreciate any help.
