Don’t Give Up

I am 58 yr old mother of two. I have had IC my entire life. Yes, it is frustrating, misunderstood, misdiagnosed and just plain painful. The best advice I can give anyone is too reduce use of refined sugar. I truly believe it is a major problem, which increases pain with IC. I could write a book on IC and may do this someday. DO NOT GIVE UP!!

Thank you so much for your kind words of wisdom. I was diagnosed with IC 3 months ago and it has been aliving hell ever since! I am so depressed. I am getting the interstital implant because it has an 80% relief rate in symptoms although I know it will never go away and I have to live with this for life!
I have to catheter myself EVERYTIME I URINATE! I am on the proper meds but there isn't enough pain meds in the world to fix this!
