looking for surgeon on long island,new york

i have a inguinal right side direct hernia for about 6 months now,,,i am tired of wearing ace bandages or support.i am ready to have it repaired... i have good coverage,blue cross ppo...i will call my union tomorrow for a list of providers, but i joined this site to see and read about what to except....any good doctors i could call....

thanks, im learning the site.......i will give it a try...my local doc doesn't take blue cross ppo..my wife called a very good local hospital(st francis heart hospital in port washington ,long island,about 10 miles from me.i am waiting for them to get back to me..also i sent an e-mail to syosset hernia center...i came across them this morning...thanks again...
